Nova One from Zone has been awarded a Special Mention at German Design Award 2017 for “a particularly successful solution”. The award is dedicated to companies and designers who are committed to excellent product design.

Nova One is a minimalistic bathroom series from Zone that focuses on functionality, design and aesthetics. The series includes a soap dispenser, a soap dish, a toothbrush mug, a toilet brush and a pedal bin.

These essential elements work perfectly in the bathroom, and the panel of judges at German Design Award 2017 immediately fell for the alluring royal blue forms and clean lines. The accolade stated: “The series has won a Special Mention 2017 as an extraordinary recognition of works whose design embraces particularly successful solutions”. The award will be officially handed over in February at Ambiente, a big international design exhibition in Frankfurt.

Proud designer
The designer behind Nova One, Thomas Dudzinski, is proud of the recognition and the pat on the back from the panel of judges at German Design Award 2017. The panel consists of 48 prominent designers, product developers, interior architects and other experts.

Thomas Dudzinski studied at the School of Design in Aarhus, Denmark, specialising in design. He established his own design office in 2013 and has since enjoyed considerable success with a design focus on products, furniture and interior design.
